Spondylosis
Spondylosis is a degenerative condition of the spine that affects the vertebrae, discs, and ligaments. It is a common disorder in older adults, caused by age-related wear and tear, and can cause pain, stiffness and discomfort. In some cases, it can also lead to nerve-related problems, such as numbness and loss of function. Treatment for spondylosis often includes physical therapy, medication, and lifestyle modifications. Surgery may be recommended in severe cases. Taking steps to maintain a healthy spine, such as regular exercise and avoiding prolonged periods of sitting, can help prevent spondylosis.
