Spinal Injury
Spinal injuries are serious medical conditions that occur when there is a disruption to the normal functioning of the spinal cord due to trauma, compression, or disease. The most common cause of spinal injury is trauma, such as a car accident or a fall. Depending on the severity, a spinal injury can cause a range of issues such as paralysis, loss of sensation, loss of bodily function and more. Treatment for spinal injuries may include physical therapy, surgery, medications, and/or stem cell therapy. Spinal injuries can have lasting effects, however prompt medical attention and proper rehabilitation can help reduce the effects and improve the quality of life for patients.
