Pathology

Pathology is the medical specialty that focuses on the study and diagnosis of diseases. It involves the detailed examination of tissue, organs, bodily fluids, and postmortem specimens to diagnose, prevent, and treat diseases. Pathologists also have an important role in public health by providing access to essential laboratory testing, researching outbreaks and disease surveillance, and offering consultation on public health matters. Pathology is essential in improving healthcare outcomes and reducing the spread of infectious and chronic diseases.
