Molecular Neuroscience
Molecular neuroscience is a field of science dedicated to understanding the molecular basis of neural function and behavior. It focuses on investigating the molecular processes underlying neural development, communication, plasticity, and regeneration. Through the development of genetic, cellular, and molecular technologies, molecular neuroscience seeks to understand how signaling pathways in the nervous system are organized and regulated to produce normal and abnormal behavior. It explores the role of these pathways in the organization of the brain and its components, as well as their involvement in neurological and psychiatric diseases. Research conducted in this field can help enable the creation of more effective diagnosis, treatments, and preventions of neurological disorders.
