Femoral Block

Femoral Block is a technique used in regional anaesthesia where a medication is injected near the femoral nerve to produce numbness and pain relief in a part of the lower body. It is often used in surgical procedures on the lower limbs as well as in some types of childbirth. The femoral nerve is blocked with a local anaesthetic and sometimes a sedative, numbing the area affected so that pain is not felt. It is a safe and effective way of providing pain relief with few side effects, making it a popular option for many types of procedures.
