Sleep Snoring
Sleep snoring is a common noise generated by vibrating tissues in the throat while sleeping. It is caused by a narrowing and/or blockage of the airway due to the collapse of soft tissues in the throat, as well as other factors such as alcohol consumption, smoking, sleep apnea, and genetics. In some cases, it can even be an indicator of a more serious underlying sleep disorder. Snoring can lead to various health complications such as fatigue, depression, cardiovascular disease, and stroke. Treatments for sleep snoring include lifestyle modifications, oral appliances, and surgical procedures. Many individuals who suffer from sleep snoring can significantly improve their sleep and overall quality of life through treatment.
