Sleep Deprivation
Sleep deprivation is a condition in which people do not get enough sleep. It can have serious consequences on the body, such as decreased alertness, difficulty concentrating, impaired memory and weakened immune system. It has also been linked to an increased risk of weight gain, depression and other mental health disorders. Although everyone needs different amounts of sleep, most adults require between seven and nine hours per night for optimal health and functioning. People who suffer from sleep deprivation can benefit from making lifestyle changes and seeking professional help in order to restore their normal sleep patterns.
