Rem Sleep
Rapid Eye Movement (REM) sleep is one of the five stages of sleep. It is the stage in which the body gets the most restorative sleep, and is associated with dreaming. During REM sleep, the brain is more active and the body is temporarily paralyzed. This stage of sleep is important for consolidating memories, processing emotions, and restoring mental and physical energy. It is also associated with healthier brain function, improved mood, and better overall health. Disruptions in REM sleep can lead to poor performance, impaired judgment, increased stress, and lack of focus.
