Primary Insomnia
Primary insomnia is a chronic disorder characterized by difficulty sleeping or non-restorative sleep. It is estimated that around 10 percent of the adult population suffers from primary insomnia. This disorder can lead to emotional and physical symptoms such as irritability, tiredness, and memory problems, as well as an increased risk of accidents, depression, impaired performance, and anxiety. Primary insomnia can have a significant impact on one's overall quality of life. Treatment options for primary insomnia include cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), lifestyle changes, the use of medications, and relaxation techniques. With the appropriate combination of interventions, primary insomnia can be successfully managed, allowing people to enjoy restful nights and improved mental and physical well-being.
