Parasomnia

Parasomnia is a sleep disorder characterized by abnormal movements, behaviors, emotions, or dreams that occur while falling asleep, during sleep, or when awakening from sleep. It is common for parasomnia to be associated with a range of physical, psychological, and social problems, including difficulty staying asleep, difficulty falling asleep, fatigue, and impaired functioning at work, school, or home. It is important to diagnose and accurately treat parasomnia in order to improve quality of life and overall wellbeing.
