Melatonin Sleep
Cycle Melatonin is a hormone released from the pineal gland in the brain in response to darkness. It plays an important role in regulating our bodies’ sleep-wake cycle, helping us to feel alert during the day and feel sleepy at night. It has also been used in treatments for various sleep-related disorders such as insomnia and jet lag. Melatonin helps to keep our circadian rhythm in sync, which is important for controlling when we feel tired and when we feel awake. In addition, melatonin has also been shown to offer a range of other health benefits, including protection against oxidative stress, improved cardiovascular health, and even anti-cancer properties.
