Hypopnea Syndrome
Hypopnea Syndrome is a breathing disorder involving shallow breathing or abnormally low breathing rates during sleep. It is most commonly associated with sleep apnea, but can also occur independently. Symptoms of Hypopnea Syndrome can include daytime sleepiness, snoring, and difficulty concentrating. Treatment of Hypopnea Syndrome is focused on improving air flow and restoring normal sleeping patterns. This can be achieved through lifestyle changes such as avoiding alcohol and caffeine before bed, as well as using respiratory devices such as CPAP (continuous positive airway pressure) to keep the airway open during sleep. Hypopnea Syndrome is a serious condition which can have impacts on overall health, and it is important to seek treatment to avoid future complications.
