Behavioural Disorders
Behavioural Disorders refer to patterns of behaviour that are disruptive, unusual and often interfere with a person’s daily life or relationships. These can include difficulty controlling emotions, difficulty managing impulses, aggressive behaviour, inability to maintain focus, chronic worry, and repetitive behaviours. Behavioural Disorders can have short-term or long-term impacts on a person’s life, and it is important to get an appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Treatment may include behavioural therapy, occupational therapy, and/or medication. With proper diagnosis and treatment, many individuals with Behavioural Disorders can live full and meaningful lives.
