Bedwetting
Bedwetting, or ‘nocturnal enuresis’, is the involuntary release of urine during sleep. It is fairly common among children and may occur among adults too. It is usually associated with an underlying medical condition, such as bladder or neurological problems, or psychological issues. Treatment options may include behavioural and lifestyle modifications, medications, and physical therapies. Bedwetting is a major issue for children as it can lead to feelings of shame and fear of embarrassment. It is important to seek medical advice to determine the underlying condition, as well as a treatment plan, to help minimize the impact of bedwetting on a person’s life.
