Sunburn

Sunburn is skin damage caused by overexposure to ultraviolet radiation from the sun. It is characterized by skin inflammation and pain, redness and tenderness to the touch. Sunburn can cause long-term damage to the skin and increase the risk of skin cancer. To prevent sunburn, it is important to wear a broad-spectrum sunscreen with an SPF of at least 15. It is important to reapply sunscreen every two hours and after swimming, sweating, or towel drying. Sunburn can be treated with pain relievers, cool baths or showers, aloe vera, and moisturizers.
