Skin Cancer Metabolomics
Metabolomics is the study of chemical compounds (metabolites) produced in an organism’s cells and tissues. It has been used to better understand the complex metabolic signatures of skin cancer. Researchers have used metabolomics to identify biomarkers that can be used to detect, diagnose, and monitor skin cancer. Furthermore, the study of skin cancer metabolomics has the potential to provide insights on the pathogenesis of the condition and discover novel therapeutic targets. This knowledge can be used to create tailored treatment plans for individuals and improve patient outcomes.
