Immunotherapy

Immunotherapy is a medical treatment that uses the body's own immune system to fight diseases. It stimulates and strengthens the immune system's ability to recognize and target specific disease-causing cells, including cancer cells. Immunotherapy has improved the prognosis of many diseases, including cancer, and is a promising treatment for many others. It is also being studied to treat autoimmune diseases (disorder in which the body's own immune system attacks itself) and allergies. Immunotherapy offers the potential to treat diseases in ways that are safer and more specific than previously available treatments.
