Albinism

Albinism is a genetic condition that results in the absence of pigment in the skin, hair, and eyes. Albinism is characterized by a lack of melanin, a natural pigment which gives color to the eyes, skin, and hair. People with albinism may have pale skin, white hair, and blue eyes. They may also be more sensitive to sunlight and be at higher risk of eye problems. Albinism has many potential implications for a person's health, including vision problems and skin cancer. Albinism is a rare disorder, but it is an important condition to be aware of as it can have significant effects on a person's life. Early detection and management can help to reduce the risk of complications. Albinism can also provide insight into the causes and treatments of other conditions related to the absence of pigment.
