Tryptophan

Tryptophan is an essential amino acid found in high-protein foods, including red meat, poultry, fish, eggs, nuts, and certain dairy and plant-based foods. It plays an important role in human health, as it is a precursor for the production of the neurotransmitter serotonin and is also needed for the conversion of tryptophan to vitamin B3. Tryptophan is used to treat a variety of conditions, such as depression, insomnia, premenstrual syndrome, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. Furthermore, it is also used to boost the immune system and help reduce stress, anxiety, and other psychological symptoms.
