Tibia
The tibia is the larger of the two bones in the lower leg between the knee and ankle. It is the second longest bone in the human body, and bears most of the body's weight while standing, walking, running, and jumping. Its strength and structure play an important role in protecting other important bones and joints. Tibia fractures can have serious consequences, including infections and nerve damage. The tibia is also important for the stability of the lower leg, ankle and foot joints, making it a key component for overall mobility.
