Rotator Cuff Muscles

The rotator cuff is a group of muscles and tendons located around the shoulder joint. These muscles provide stability to the shoulder and are essential for the body's ability to move the arm in different directions. Injury to the rotator cuff can lead to pain and loss of movement, commonly referred to as 'shoulder impingement'. Physical therapy and targeted exercises are often utilized to treat rotator cuff injuries. Strengthening these muscles is important to maintain full mobility and reduce the risk of further injury.
