Myelopathy

Myelopathy is a medical condition that affects the spinal cord, causing a range of neurological symptoms and impairments. It can be caused by trauma, infection, tumors, or degenerative diseases and can lead to a wide range of movement and sensation issues. Symptoms may include pain, weakness, numbness, and difficulty walking, as well as changes in reflexes, bladder or bowel control, or autonomic functions. Treatment options depend on the cause of the myelopathy but may include physical therapy, medications, or surgery. Myelopathy is an important condition to recognize, diagnose, and treat as it can significantly impact quality of life if left untreated.
