Muscular Imbalances

Muscular imbalances occur when certain muscles around a joint are stronger or weaker than the opposing muscles. Such imbalances can lead to joint pain, postural or gait issues, as well as other joint dysfunctions. Common treatments for muscular imbalances include stretching, strengthening exercises, and postural retraining. Appropriate guidance from a health care professional may be necessary to ensure that the right treatment option is employed. Treatment of muscular imbalances can help improve overall health, prevent injuries, and improve physical performance.
