Muscle Disorders
Muscle disorders are medical conditions that adversely affect the functioning of the muscles in the body. These disorders can cause pain, weakness, and paralysis, and can even lead to life-threatening conditions. Some of the most common types of muscle disorders include muscular dystrophy, congenital myopathy, myasthenia gravis, and inflammatory myopathies. These conditions can limit physical activity, affect mobility, and cause difficulty with everyday activities such as walking, eating, and even speaking. Treatments for muscle disorders are available, including physical therapy, medications, and surgery. When detected and treated in a timely manner, these disorders can help improve quality of life and wellbeing.
