Fibula

The fibula is a long and thin bone located in the lower part of the leg. It is placed parallel to the tibia and helps to stabilize the ankle joint. It also provides additional support for muscles and tendons in the lower leg, enabling us to stand and walk. The fibula has a role in transmitting forces from the lower leg to the foot, which helps with balance and agility when running or jumping. Additionally, its shape and strength make it an ideal site for attaching muscles and tendons in the lower leg. This makes it essential for the movements and activities we carry out on a daily basis.
