Epiphyses
Epiphyses are the end caps of long bones in the human body. They are important for the growth and development of the human body since they are the site where most of the growth takes place. They provide a structural support for the movement of bones as well as for the muscles and other tissues attached to them. Epiphyses also help with nutrient transport and provide cushioning between the bones. They are essential for proper functioning of the body's joints and enable us to move our bodies in different directions.
