Craniotomy

Craniotomy is a surgical procedure in which a section of the skull bone is temporarily removed to gain access to the brain. It is commonly used to treat brain trauma, tumors, stroke, and infection, and also to implant medical devices such as deep brain stimulators in Parkinson's Disease. Craniotomy allows surgeons to access the brain and treat various conditions with minimal risk of complications.
