Body Limbs
The body limbs are the anatomical structures that extend from a person's or animal's trunk or torso. They are composed of bones, muscles, ligaments, and tendons and serve a variety of purposes. Limbs provide leverage when performing physical movements, such as walking or running, as well as retaining balance, grasping objects, and providing the ability to produce force for activities such as lifting or carrying heavy things. In addition, the limbs are involved in many complex activities, such as typing or playing a musical instrument. By providing mobility and the ability to support and move objects, limbs are essential for a wide range of everyday activities and play a critical role in maintaining an individual's independence.
