Arthralgia is the medical term used to describe joint pain. It is generally caused by different types of conditions including arthritis, injury, infections, or diseases such as gout. Arthralgia can manifest in different ways depending on the severity of the underlying cause, from minor aches and stiffness to pain that is severe enough to prevent normal movement. Treatment of arthralgia depends on the underlying cause. Treatment may include lifestyle changes, medications, physical therapy, or other treatments. Proper diagnosis and treatment is important for reducing the pain and improving mobility.
