Actin Filaments

Actin Filaments are a type of protein filament that are abundant in cells. They are a critical component of the cytoskeleton and are involved in a range of activities such as cell shape and motility, cell division, and cell signaling. They have an important role in muscle contraction and other cellular processes, and are responsible for the movement of substances within the cell. Actin Filaments are also used in research to gain insight into the molecular processes occurring in cells.
