Sinusitis in Children
Sinusitis is an inflammation of the sinuses, which are air-filled cavities in the skull that connect to the nose. In children, sinusitis can cause numerous symptoms, such as nasal congestion, facial pain, fever, and headaches. It can be a result of severe colds and other viral infections, or it can be a secondary infection caused by bacteria. Treatment for sinusitis in children typically involves the use of antibiotics, decongestants, and other medications to help reduce inflammation. If left untreated, sinusitis in children can lead to more serious health issues, so early diagnosis and treatment is important.
