Sinusitis Complications

Sinusitis is a condition where the sinuses are inflamed, causing a buildup of mucus and pressure in the face. Complications from sinusitis can include an infection in the sinuses, an extension of the infection to nearby areas of the body, or the development of a type of bone infection called osteomyelitis. Sinusitis can also cause hearing loss and vision problems. Prompt and proper medical treatment for sinusitis is essential to avoid these complications and to reduce the risk of long-term damage.
