Sinus Pressure
Sinus pressure, also known as sinusitis, is a medical condition characterized by inflammation, swelling, and pain in the spaces around the nose, cheeks, and forehead. This can be caused by allergies, a cold, or an infection. Many people experience sinus pressure at some point in their lives and it can be an uncomfortable and disruptive condition. Sinus pressure is often treated with medication such as antibiotics and anti-inflammatories. In some cases lifestyle modifications such as humidifying the air or avoiding certain triggers, such as smoke or dust, can also help to alleviate sinus pressure. Improving the body’s natural defense system by increasing intake of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants is also a helpful preventative measure. Understanding the causes and risks associated with sinus pressure can be beneficial when it comes to managing the condition.
