Sinus Congestion

Sinus congestion is an accumulation of mucus in the sinus cavities that can cause discomfort such as a headache, facial pain, and difficulty breathing. It is a common symptom of allergies, colds, or infections. The sinuses are lined with tissue that produces mucus which can become congested due to inflammation, allergies, and infections. Treatment methods include decongestant medications, nasal sprays, humidifiers, and steam inhalation. For severe cases, surgery may be recommended to help reduce or relieve symptoms. Sinus congestion is a very common problem but it can be treated and managed to reduce symptoms.
