Allergic Rhinitis

Allergic rhinitis is a common condition caused by an allergy to airborne particles such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, and mold. Symptoms can include sneezing, nasal congestion, itchy eyes, nose, and throat, and a runny nose. Treatment usually includes avoiding allergens, as well as medications such as antihistamines, decongestants, and nasal corticosteroids. By recognizing and treating allergic rhinitis, one can reduce the burden of living with this disorder, improve quality of life, and reduce the risk of long-term health complications.
