Schizoaffective Disorders
Schizoaffective disorder is a mental disorder that is characterized by the presence of psychotic symptoms and mood disturbances. It is a combination of schizophrenia, which is a type of psychosis, and a mood disorder, such as depression or bipolar disorder. Symptoms may include hallucinations and delusions, disorganized thinking, changes in mood, difficulty concentrating and changes in behavior. Treatment generally involves medication and psychotherapy. With the correct treatment and support, people with schizoaffective disorder can lead meaningful and productive lives.
