Psychosis

Psychosis is a mental health condition characterized by a disruption in a person’s thoughts, perceptions, and emotions, which can lead to delusions, hallucinations, and changes in behavior. It is most commonly associated with serious mental illnesses such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and major depressive disorder, but can also be caused by drug use, physical or other psychiatric illnesses, and extreme stress or trauma. Treatment typically involves medications, therapy, and lifestyle changes. Early diagnosis and treatment of psychosis is important, as it can help reduce long-term disability and improve outcomes.
