Personality Disorders
Personality disorders refer to a group of mental health conditions where an individual has an inflexible, long-term pattern of inner experiences and behavior that deviate from the expectations of their particular culture. These conditions can significantly impair an individual's day-to-day functioning and interfere with their ability to interact with others and carry out daily activities. Common personality disorders include obsessive-compulsive disorder, paranoid personality disorder, and borderline personality disorder. Treatment for personality disorders can include psychotherapy, medications, and other supportive measures to help the individual cope with their symptoms and lead a more functional life. Improving the understanding of personality disorders can help reduce stigma, improve diagnosis and access to treatment, and provide better support for those affected.
