Pulmonary Edema
Pulmonary edema is a medical condition caused by an accumulation of fluid in the air sacs of the lungs. This can lead to difficulty breathing and low oxygen levels in the body, and is a common symptom of heart failure, pneumonia, and pulmonary embolism. It is a potentially life-threatening condition and requires prompt medical attention. Treatment of pulmonary edema typically includes medications to reduce fluid in the lungs and improve breathing, or oxygen therapy to provide extra oxygen to the patient. Additionally, lifestyle changes such as quitting smoking, maintaining a healthy diet, and exercising regularly can help reduce the risk of developing pulmonary edema.
