Mycoplasma Pneumoniae

Mycoplasma Pneumoniae is a type of bacteria that is responsible for the common respiratory infection known as mycoplasma pneumonia. It is the leading cause of both community-acquired and hospital-acquired pneumonia in children and young adults. Mycoplasma Pneumoniae is highly contagious and can be spread through airborne droplets, close contact, and contaminated surfaces. Symptoms of infection include cough, fever, chills, chest pain, and difficulty breathing. Complications can include bacterial pneumonia, bronchitis, and asthma exacerbation. Treatment and prevention involve antibiotics and good hygiene, such as frequent hand washing.
