Lungs Biology
The lungs are the organs of the respiratory system in the human body that facilitate the process of respiration. They enable us to take in oxygen from the air, absorb it into the bloodstream, and exhale carbon dioxide in the process. The lungs are essential for life, as they are responsible for supplying oxygen and removing waste gases from the body. They also play an important role in maintaining pH balance, regulating body temperature, and providing protection against infection and other environmental threats. In addition, lungs are involved in the production of hormones and other vital biochemicals that help the body maintain homeostasis. Lungs are an incredibly important component of our overall health and wellbeing.
