Elastomers

Elastomers are a class of materials that have an extraordinary ability to stretch, deform and recover their original shape, much like a rubber band. Due to their unique properties, elastomers are extensively used in products ranging from tires and seals to medical devices and toys. Elastomers can also be used as electrical insulation, and their structural flexibility makes them ideal for shock absorption and vibration dampening. Highly elastic elastomers are also used in sealants, adhesives, and medical devices.
