Dyspnea
Dyspnea, commonly known as shortness of breath, is a symptom of many conditions that involves difficulty in breathing. It can be caused by a range of conditions, from asthma and COPD to heart and lung diseases. Dyspnea can severely limit a person’s activities, or even be life-threatening in the most extreme cases. Treatment of dyspnea usually involves addressing the underlying cause of the condition, such as managing asthma or controlling blood pressure. Dyspnea is an important symptom to recognize and seek treatment for, as it can help significantly improve a person’s quality of life.
