Doxycycline
Doxycycline is an antibiotic that is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It works by inhibiting the growth of certain bacteria and is effective against: acne, HIV infection, chlamydia, gonorrhea, malaria and a variety of other bacterial infections. It is also used to prevent malaria in travelers. Doxycycline is an important first-line antibiotic in many different types of infections because of its broad spectrum of activity, good safety profile and low cost. In addition, it has minimal side effects, making it a preferred choice of antibiotic for many people.
