Radiology

Radiology is a branch of medicine that uses imaging techniques such as X-rays, ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), nuclear medicine, and positron emission tomography (PET) to diagnose and treat medical conditions. It is an incredibly important tool for medical professionals since it allows them to see inside the body and quickly diagnose a variety of conditions. Radiology is used for a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic purposes, including screening for certain cancers and other diseases, detecting and diagnosing trauma, detecting blood clots and organ masses, monitoring treatments, and guiding interventional procedures. Radiology can also be used to guide minimally invasive procedures, such as biopsies, and for reconstructive surgery.
