Fibromyalgia
Fibromyalgia is a condition characterized by widespread pain and tenderness in the body, often accompanied by fatigue, trouble sleeping, and difficulty concentrating. It can affect people of all ages, but is most commonly found in middle-aged women. Although the exact cause of fibromyalgia is unknown, it is believed to results from an overactive response in the central nervous system. Fibromyalgia is believed to be associated with a number of other conditions, such as depression and migraine headache, but is not contagious. Treatment usually involves a combination of medication, physical activity, relaxation techniques, and lifestyle changes. Fibromyalgia is a chronic condition that can significantly affect the quality of life of those who suffer from it.
