Duplex Scanning

Duplex scanning is a medical imaging technique in which two separate ultrasound scans (one in the longitudinal and one in the transverse directions) are carried out simultaneously to produce a complete view of the organ being examined. It is used to obtain accurate information about the structure and function of the organ, such as determining if the organ has any abnormalities in its size, shape, or other characteristics. Duplex scanning is a highly valuable tool in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, including problems with the heart, kidneys, urinary tract, and other organs, as well as diseases such as cancer. Furthermore, it can be used to identify blood clots, assess the blood circulation and flow, look for blockages in the arteries and veins, and support therapeutic treatments and surgeries.
