Dosimetry
Dosimetry is the science of measuring and quantifying radiation dose. It is an important tool in radiation protection, medical physics, and nuclear engineering, as it is used to ensure that radiation doses to humans, both accidental or therapeutic, remain as low as possible while still achieving the desired medical effect. Dosimetry is used to assess radiation exposures and to help protect workers, the public, and the environment from the potential harmful effects of radiation. It is also used to ensure that medical radiation treatments are accurate and effective.
