Psychosocial Stress
Psychosocial stress is the physical and psychological response to daily life events that cause significant mental strain and can have an adverse effect on health. It results from the combination of physical, psychological, and social factors, such as work or school stress, family matters, and dealing with difficult situations. Psychosocial stress has been linked to a broad range of physical and mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, obesity, high blood pressure, and other chronic diseases. It is important to address psychosocial stress to improve overall health and well-being. Ways to manage stress include exercise, mindfulness and relaxation techniques, talking to a friend or professional, developing healthy coping skills, and getting enough rest.
