Psychopathology
Psychopathology is the scientific study of mental illness, abnormal behavior, and the associated psychological and biological factors. It is an important branch of psychology which seeks to understand the causes, prevention, and treatments of mental disorders. It also looks at the effects of mental illness on individuals, families, and society. By understanding the nature and causes of mental disorders, researchers can develop more effective interventions to help people cope with and recover from mental illness.
